Performance-focused update of the schematic capture and PCB design software also adds an Interactive BOM with schematic cross-probing and a new Component Text Autoplacer plugin

OBUKHIVKA, Ukraine - Oct. 6, 2026 - PRLog -- Novarm Ltd has released DipTrace 5.3.5, an update to its schematic capture and PCB design software focused on performance. Rendering, real-time DRC and PCB Layout are faster and more responsive on large designs, and the release adds new import options, including native Altium binary files and CADint projects.

Faster work on large designs
2D and 3D rendering in DipTrace 5.3.5 has been optimized for DirectX 11 and OpenGL 3.3, delivering faster redraws and improved visual quality. Real-time DRC and PCB Layout are noticeably more responsive on large, complex designs.

New import options
DipTrace now imports native Altium binary files (SchDoc, PcbDoc and PcbLib) directly, so Altium schematics, PCB layouts and libraries can be opened without an ASCII export step. The release also adds CADint import for schematics, PCB layouts and libraries, and improves import from KiCad and EasyEDA.

Interactive BOM and component search
The HTML Interactive BOM can now include the schematic, with live cross-probing between schematic and board, and works on mobile devices. Database component search now recognizes synonyms and spelling variations, making parts easier to find.

Component Text Autoplacer
A new plugin, the Component Text Autoplacer, moves component labels off pads, mask openings, component bodies and, optionally, vias, while keeping each label visually associated with its component. It saves hours of manual cleanup before manufacturing. The plugin was created with the DipTrace AI Plugin SDK, which has also been refined in this release together with the DipTrace XML format.

Availability
DipTrace 5.3.5 is available now for Windows and macOS. The update is free for all DipTrace 5.x users. A free 30-day trial with all features, as well as a Freeware version, can be downloaded from the DipTrace download page. The full list of changes is available on the What's New page.
